Cave Defender Devlog – Week of January 21, 2019
Since January 1st of 2018, I’ve been keeping a log of my daily work on Cave Defender. I’m sharing this log on a weekly basis so you can find out how development is going with the game. In the last week I:
- Posted screenshot saturday. Updated the endless mode level to have BOB-95 in the new positioning for the introduction section.
- Experimented with BOB-95 in a different position (further away, ‘front corner’) for VR comfort and general usability reasons.
- Playtested on the Go with a friend, confirmed a lot of feedback I’ve been getting (tutorial is boring, BOB-95 gets in the way, need option to skip, current Go build has some blockers) as well as some good suggestions about potential BOB-95 placement, and in-world UI.
- Some hp/damage/speed design spreadsheet work.
